Some students at Restigouche River School learned how to make Moon Cakes on Friday to celebrate the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival. Thank you to Miss Janita for inviting us to collaborate on this project which introduces the students to different cultural celebrations and cuisine. Thank you to Miss Swan and her daughters for teaching us about the story of the Moon Cakes and the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Vendredi, certains élèves de l’école Restigouche River ont appris à confectionner des gâteaux de la Lune pour célébrer la Fête de la mi-automne chinoise. Merci à Mlle Janita de nous avoir invités à collaborer à ce projet qui permet aux élèves de découvrir différentes célébrations culturelles et cuisines. Merci à Mlle Swan et à ses filles de nous avoir fait découvrir l’histoire des gâteaux de la Lune et de la Fête de la mi-automne.

L’Association Multiculturelle du Restigouche a appris avec une profonde tristesse le décès de Michel Soucy, maire de la Communauté régionale de Campbellton et membre actif de notre association.

Michel croyait profondément à notre mission. Sa présence et son engagement envers une communauté accueillante et inclusive ont beaucoup compté pour nous. Nous perdons un allié précieux et un ami de l’AMR.

À sa famille, à ses proches et à toutes les personnes touchées par son départ, nous offrons nos plus sincères condoléances.

The Restigouche Multicultural Association was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Michel Soucy, Mayor of the Campbellton Regional Community and an active member of our association.

Michel believed deeply in our mission. His presence and commitment to a welcoming, inclusive community meant a great deal to us. We have lost a valued ally and a friend of RMA.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones and everyone affected by his passing.

We will not be at the night market this evening. Thank you to everyone who came to visit us each week as we featured different countries each Wednesday night, and we we look forward to seeing you all next summer. Please note that the rest of the night market will be open the Wednesday.
Nous ne serons pas présents au marché nocturne ce soir. Merci à tous ceux qui sont venus nous rendre visite chaque semaine alors que nous mettions à l'honneur différents pays tous les mercredis soirs ; nous avons hâte de vous revoir tous l'été prochain.
