Ohana means family, and family means... your bowling team, your coworkers, your book club, your hockey team, literally anyone you can talk into wearing a Hawaiian shirt for a good cause.

Here's the details:
🎳 $200/team, up to 6 bowlers
🌴 Pick your session: 1–3pm or 4–6pm
🏆 Prizes for Best-Dressed Group per session
🥥 Bonus prize for the individual Mystery Score — nobody knows what it is until it's called, so every frame counts.

🌺Before there was Ohana Bowl, there was a conversation 🌺

In June 1961, Campbellton School principal Bill Baldry started asking a question that wasn't common at the time: what if children with developmental disabilities belonged in the classroom, alongside their peers, in their own community — instead of being sent away to an institution, as doctors so often recommended back then?

That October, a group of local parents who believed the same thing, met at the Willows Hotel.

Their kids should stay home. Stay with their families. Go to school right here in Campbell River.

They organized. They pushed. And on October 10, 1961, they formally incorporated the Campbell River and District Association for Re****ed Children, with Rayman Palmer as their first Chairman.

That decision — made by a small group of parents who refused to accept "send them away" as the only option — is the reason Rivercity Inclusion exists today, 65 years later.

Ohana Bowl isn't just a fun afternoon of bowling and bad Hawaiian shirts (though it is that too). It's part of a chapter in a story that started with parents who believed their kids deserved something better.

🌺 Ohana, Dust Off Those Bowling Balls 🌺

Remember last year's disco fever at the Rollin’ Together Bowl-a-Thon? The bell bottoms, the platform shoes, the questionable dance moves on lane 12? We loved every minute of it — but 2026 is calling for something a bit more… Tropical.

This year, we're trading the disco ball for tiki torches. It's a full-on LUAU.

So dig out those Hawaiian shirts and Hula skirts, grab the leis, and get ready to throw some coconuts (okay fine, bowling balls) for a great cause.

The bowl-a-thon is coming back to raise funds for Rivercity Inclusion, and this year's theme Ohana is bringing island vibes to the lanes.

Ohana is Hawai’ian for family, and that is exactly how Rivercity Inclusion feels about its partners, clients, employees, volunteers
