Featured Market Artisan: Lauren Correia - LRN Designs

Lauren Correia is a block printer and upcycler from the Comox Valley, creating work that combines sustainability with straightforward, hands-on craft. She prints on thrifted, sustainably sourced shirts, makes small-batch art prints and cards, and reworks secondhand clothing into one-of-a-kind pieces.

Every block is carved by hand and every print is pulled individually, making each item slightly different—an honest record of the process.

Whether she’s printing a new design, rebuilding a garment, or creating simple prints meant to be shared, her work stays rooted in intention, resourcefulness, and respect for the materials she uses.

Super excited to have Cedar Stand Coffee joining us for the market this year!

Sure they serve coffee, but they’re not your typical coffee shop.

They started with a simple idea: could we create a welcoming café experience without anchoring ourselves to one address? They built Cedar Stand Coffee Co to find out.

Featured Market Artisan: Tamara Fosty

Tamara’s offerings at this year’s Crow’s Nest Artisan Yule Market will include handmade gemstone bracelets, wild crafted medicinal salves and botanically infused natural body care products.

“All of my salves and body care items are made with plants that I grow or forage and are harvested sustainably…by me,” she says. “I love to share what can be created with their healing properties! I am also a reiki practitioner and I infuse all of my products with reiki healing energy.”

All of Tamara’s creations are handmade here on Vancouver Island, supporting local suppliers whenever possible and packaged in glass, “as I believe in making choices that are healthier for our planet as well as your skin,” she says.

April Lacoste is a 19 year old lampworker/jewelry artist from right here in Campbell River.

She says she started “my little business” when she was 16 and making glassblowing pendants and earrings but has since started getting into making silver jewelry.

Featured Market Artisan: John Noel -

John has always liked art in many forms and enjoys the way an art creation can take shape.

Over the past few years, he has been able to establish himself primarily as a ring artist, experimenting with a variety of materials such as jeans, skateboards, whiskey barrels, and a wide range of woods.

But he also creates custom works of art based on customer's preferences and interests, often incorporating sentimental or personal materials they bring to him.

He has also expanded his offerings to include steampunk jewellery made from antique brass. Some of this line include earrings, belt clips and brooches which have been featured at the crows nest.

This will be John’s third winter market at The Crow’s Nest, and he always brings amazing pieces with him, so make sure you come out and see his creations (or talk about having something custom made!)

When not writing stories or drawing, she can be found reading epic romantic fantasy novels and paranormal romance. On weekends, she enjoys playing D&D with friends or running campaigns for her family.
