The W, operated through YWCA Cambridge is home to our pre-employment program (Small Steps To Success) and our youth programs for cis and trans girls, non-binary and two-spirit youth (STEPS, SHYFT, TechGyrls, STEM Mentoring & GLOW) Operated by YWCA Cambridge, this space is the home to our Employment Programs (Small Steps to Success & Uplift) and Youth Programs (SHYFT, TechGyrls & Where I Stand). Come learn, connect, and ask questions during an informative session with guest speaker Kristen Jones from the Neighbourhood Nursing Team. Participants will also have the opportunity to take part in a fun collaborative craft activity!

👥 Who can join:
Youth ages 8–18 and their caregivers, family members, or friends

Youth ages 8–14 must attend with an adult (parent, grandparent, caregiver, aunt/uncle, older sibling, etc.)

About the artist:

The Dessert Artist is a baked goods and confectionery company creating bespoke treats for any occasion. Founded by pastry chef Rochelle Williams, the business centres representation in the food industry, weaving heritage into each creation — from Black Excellence sugar cookies celebrating natural hair to her playful Jamaican-inspired Petite Patties.

Her work has earned multiple accolades, including Young Professional of the Year, Oktoberfest Woman of the Year – Rising Star, and the Bold Spirit Big Leap Award.
