Good Day fellow Kin, as I prepared to pass this page over to NP Debbie, here is one last post to you all.

Fellow Kin

Tonight, as I stand before you and prepare to complete my term as your National President, my heart is full. Full of gratitude, Full of pride, Full of admiration for this organization and for the people who make it what it is. This year has been one of the greatest honors of my life, and I will carry it with me for the rest of my life.

When I accepted this role, I knew it would be meaningful. But I could never have imagined just how deeply it would touch me, how profoundly each of you would shape my journey. I am humbled not be cause of the title I held, but because of the extraordinary people I had the privilege to represent. You are the reason this year mattered. You are the reason this role has change me.

Kin Canada is built on service, fellowship and heart, and every day this year, I saw those values alive in you. I saw them in your projects, your celebrations, your conversations, your compassion. I saw them in the way you show up for your communities, and in the way you show up for each other.

I travelled in excess of 64,332,52 kilometers this year, but the distance doesn’t tell the story. The story is in the moments, the handshakes, the hugs, the laughter, the late-night conversations in club house. The pride in your voices when you talked about and gave me tours of your communities. The tears we shared when you told me about the families you helped, the challenges your faced and the victories you celebrated.

Those moments changed me. They reminded me why Kin matters. They reminded me why our mission is worth every ounce of effort we give it. I want to take a moment to reflect on something that meant a great deal to me personally, this year I had the privilege of preparing 29 Life Membership letters, and attending 9 Life membership presentations, and recognizing 82 members with National President’s Commendations. Each one of those moments was a reminder of the extraordinary dedication, compassion, and leadership that lives withing our Association. Celebrating our members, honoring their service, their impact, and their legacy, was one of the most meaningful parts of my presidency.

I attended District Conventions where I felt the energy of members who believe deeply in what we do. I stood beside Kin at stampedes and rodeos, waved to crowds from a parade route I’ll never forget and spent meaningful time touring Districts where your honesty, your hope and your heart left a lasting mark on me.

Everywhere I went, I saw the same thing, Kin who care, Kin who serve, and kin who believe in making tomorrow better than today.

This year also gave us the chance to share our story with the world. Working with FMG Publishing on the Business in Focus Magazine feature was more than a media opportunity, it was a moment of pride, a moment to say “This is who we are, this is what we stand for, this is why Kin Canada matters. And it matters because of all of you,

But let me be clear the story of this year isn’t mine. It’s yours.

It’s the club who lifted up families when they needed it most it’s the members who stayed long after the lights went out to make sure an event succeeded.

It’s the leaders who stepped forward with courage, optimism, and belief in our future
it’s every act of kindness, every fundraiser, every partnership, every moment of fellowship that strengthened our communities and strengthened our association.

You have show me that Kin Canada is not defined by geography or size or history. It is defined by people, people with heart, people with purpose, people who choose service not because it is easy, but because it is right.

As I pass the torch, I want to speak directly to the person who will carry it forward. Debbie, you are stepping into this role with strength, compassion, and a deep love for Kin. You bring a steady hand, a clear voice and a heart that understands the importance of service. I have watched you lead with integrity, with kindness and with convection. And I know, without hesitation, that Kin Canada is in exceptional hands.

To you the membership. I want to say something simple and sincere, thank you. Thank you for welcoming me into your homes, your clubs, your zones, your districts, your celebrations, and your lives. Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for challenging me. Thank you for inspiring me, thank your for reminding me, every single day, why being Kin is something to be proud of.

I leave this role with absolute confidence in our future. Our clubs are strong. Our mission is timeless, and our members, all of you, continue to prove that when Kin unite with heart and purpose, there is no limit to the impact we can make.

It has been an honor to serve you. It has been a privilege to represent you, and it has been one of the greatest joys of my life to walk this journey with you, to stand beside you, to learn from you, and to witness the extraordinary heart that defines Kin Canada.

Thank you for everything you have done this year, and everything you will continue to do in the years ahead.

and for the last time.

With Admiration and Respect

Because of the generosity of these community-minded businesses, active service members, veterans, and their families were able to experience the excitement of the Edmonton Elks Home Opener together. 🏈💚

For some, it was more than a football game. It was time with family. A chance to connect.
An opportunity to create memories that might not otherwise have been possible.
