21 Royal Highland Fusiliers of Canada Army Cadet Corps Cambridge Army Cadets are the third oldest cadet corps in Canada. 21 RHFC ACC is a free organization open to youth ages 12-18. www.21armycadets.ca

The Cadet Program is the largest federally-sponsored youth program in Canada that includes the Royal Canadian Sea, Army and Air Cadets. It is a national program for young Canadians aged 12 to 18 who are interested in participating in a variety of fun, challenging and rewarding activities while learning about the sea, army and air activities of the Canadian Forces. Cadets are encouraged to become active, responsible members of their communities. They make valuable contributions to Canadian society on a daily basis in terms of environmental, citizenship and community activities. Cadets also learn valuable life and work skills such as teamwork, leadership and citizenship. Cadets are not members of the Canadian Forces, nor are they expected to join the military. Cadets is a great way for youth to learn more about Canada, make new friends and develop life skills that will enable them to succeed no matter what career they choose.

I'm sorry to have to tell you - summer is almost over 😞... The good news is that means it's almost time to start our 2026-2027 training year!

Annual validation and new cadet registration will take place on Monday September 14th at the armoury starting at 6:30PM. Returning cadets should bring their parent/guardian to complete the validation. (we would ask that you spread out your arrival to avoid a big rush at one time!).

New cadets should follow the instructions on the email that you should have received. If you are wishing to join 21 Army and you haven't yet completed the online registration, scan the QR code to get a jump start on the process.

Dress for returning cadets is FTU. See you soon!

It's with an abundance of caution that I've decided to cancel our regular training this Monday, the 26th of January. The bad weather should have passed by Cadet time, but that doesn't mean the roads will be cleared and I don't want to put anyone on the roads if we don't have to!

Please remember to sign up for the FTX and check on teams for any further updates and we'll see you all next week, February 2nd for our CO's parade.

Due to the especially wintry forecast for tomorrow, Sunday, January 25th, I'm going to cancel the marksmanship training. We'll keep an eye on the weather and see how it turns out for Monday, but at this point it looks like we should be in the clear for our regular scheduled training. Stay warm and stay safe!
