Yesterday’s meeting at Cambridge Grand River Toastmasters was a wonderful reminder that every small step we take can create a meaningful and lasting impact.
Our meeting theme, “The Ripple Effect,” encouraged us to reflect on how our words, actions, and personal growth can influence not only ourselves but also the people around us. Just like a small ripple in water can grow into larger waves, one positive change can inspire many others.

We also celebrated an important milestone as many of our members completed levels in their Toastmasters Pathways journey and proudly received their certificates. 🎓👏 Their dedication, commitment, and passion for continuous improvement are a true example of the Toastmasters spirit.

🎉 What an inspiring start to the District 86 Spring Conference 2026! 🎉

Day 1 of this incredible conference was held today at Four Points by Sheraton London, bringing together passionate Toastmasters from across the district for a full day of learning, leadership, networking, and unforgettable inspiration. 🤝✨

🎤 We were honored to hear from distinguished keynote speakers Jim Kokocki and Sadok Ben-Khelifa, whose impactful messages reminded us once again that communication and leadership truly have the power to transform lives.

🎓 Attendees also enjoyed three dynamic educational workshops led by Renato Marco, Kiyasha Naidu, and Michael Whitehouse — each one packed with practical knowledge, fresh perspectives, and motivation to keep growing.

🔥 The excitement continued with the highly anticipated Table Topics Contest, where 6 outstanding contestants delivered remarkable impromptu speeches and competed fiercely for the top spots. The judges had no easy task — every speaker brought creativity, confidence, humor, and excellence to the stage! 👏🏆

🌱 This conference was a powerful reminder of what happens when experienced leaders shine a light for future leaders — guiding them, inspiring them, and helping them grow stronger with every opportunity.
