A well-deserved honour! 👏👏👏
đź’š Big News from DH! đź’š
Dance for PD, a program of the Mark Morris Dance Group (), has announced the 2025 recipients of the Bowen Award for Inclusive Choreography, and we’re thrilled to share that DH’s own is one of this year’s awardees!
In partnership with the New Orleans Ballet Association (), John will lead the ENCORE Parkinson’s Dance Project, a multigenerational collaboration uniting NOBA’s Dance for Parkinson’s community, senior dancers, and pre-professional students. Together, they’ll create a large-scale new work premiering at Tulane University in May 2026.
The Bowen Award honors choreographers who champion accessibility, inclusion, creativity, and collaboration, and provides up to $10,000 to support new work created with and for people living with Parkinson’s.
We’re so proud of John and grateful to MMDG for this meaningful recognition.
