Every practice and every game is an opportunity to build confidence, celebrate one another, and create meaningful connections that extend far beyond the diamond. Here, every athlete is valued, every accomplishment is celebrated, and everyone has a place where they truly belong.

If this first photo doesn't capture the excitement of the first Learn to Play practice, we don't know what does! 💙⚾🙌

Yesterday, our Learn to Play athletes took the field for their first official practice of the season, and the joy was impossible to miss.

The evening wasn't about home runs or perfect throws. It was about learning where the bases are, getting comfortable on the field, and getting to know new teammates and coaches. Most importantly, it was about having fun and building friendships.

Every season starts somewhere, and we can't wait to watch these all-stars grow in confidence and create memories together.

Here's to a summer full of smiles, laughter, and plenty more moments that make us jump for joy! ⭐💙

Sometimes inclusion looks like home runs.

And sometimes, it looks like…

😜 Silly faces with Coach Maddy in the middle of practice.

😂 Miles laughing after somehow catching the pitch in his glove sitting in his lap while batting.

💙 Three best friends so busy catching up with each other that the coaches have to stand between them to separate them for a few minutes so they pay attention to the game.

These moments might seem small, but they're what Buddy League is all about.

The game matters.

But the friendships, the joy, and the sense of belonging? That's what makes Buddy League truly special. ⚾✨

A place where friendships are formed, laughter is encouraged, and everyone is free to show up exactly as they are.

Because baseball is for everyone.

And sometimes, the best memories are made in between the pitches. ⚾💙✨

What started as a dream is becoming reality.

This weekend, our community celebrated an incredible milestone as we gathered to watch the announcement of our Field of Dreams grant from Jays Care Foundation.

This adaptive ball diamond will be more than a baseball field. It will be a place where barriers are removed, opportunities are created, and athletes of all abilities can experience the joy of the game.

To everyone who believes in this vision, supports this journey, and helps us dream bigger - thank you.

Yesterday, we officially kicked off the 2026 Buddy League Canada season, and our hearts are full. ❤️⚾

Opening Day is about so much more than baseball. It's about belonging. It's about friendships, high-fives, cheering each other on, and creating a space where every player is celebrated exactly as they are.

From first pitches to big smiles and unforgettable moments, yesterday was a beautiful reminder of why Buddy League exists.
This is what community looks like.
This is what inclusion looks like.

Thank you to our players, families, volunteers, buddies, and supporters for helping make Opening Day so special. We can't wait to see all the memories, laughter, and milestones this season will bring.

This incredible investment means more than just a new baseball space -- it’s a commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and community. Every child deserves the chance to play, belong, and create memories on the field, and this project will help make that possible for athletes of all abilities.
