There is hope for every child’s story! At Hope Story, we believe in a world where every child reaches their full potential through the love and sacrifice of Christ’s Church. We partner with churches in a child’s community to deliver high-quality programs because we believe that local churches are best placed to deliver these programs. They can meet a child’s needs in a way that is culturally relev

ant and sensitive to the child’s context. All of Hope Story’s work is rooted in the local community for long-term, sustainable change.

Shantel and Claris are sisters being raised by their grandfather, who works hard to provide for them despite many challenges. Through the support of Calvary Church and generous sponsors, these girls now have the school essentials they need to learn with confidence and dignity.

Join us for the Hope Soars Gala, an evening to gather as a community, reflect on what God is doing through our partners, and celebrate the lives being changed because of your support.

Sarah is back home in Tanzania after a meaningful trip to Canada, where she had the joy of connecting with so many incredible donors and supporters who walk alongside us in the Hope Story journey.

She brings an exciting update: praise God for the completion of the Form 5–6 high school building! This is such a powerful milestone and a testament to what can happen when a community comes together in faith and generosity.

In the midst of ongoing challenges, True Vine Church's food assistance program continues to be a valuable support for vulnerable families in Lebanon. When Paul first came into the program, life was marked by uncertainty and survival. After his father abandoned the family and both his mother and grandmother passed away, Paul and his sister were left in the care of their elderly grandfather, who struggled with severe mental and psychological challenges. Many days, the children survived by begging neighbours for food. They slept on piles of rags and often went without proper care or supervision.

Everything began to change when Paul was welcomed into Creation of Hope program.

Today, Paul is thriving in Grade 8. He is healthy, well-nourished, and surrounded by people who encourage and support him. Through access to education, meals, spiritual care, mentorship, and a safe place to live, he has rediscovered hope for the future.

“I am very grateful for the support I have received. I believe that I will achieve my dream of becoming an aeronautical engineer through this support.”

Stories like Paul’s remind us that when children are given safety, care, and opportunity, their future can be transformed. Thank you for helping make stories like this possible 🤍

At our partner, Tiempo de Paz in Colombia, music is becoming part of everyday learning across the centres. 🎶

With support from the Yamaha Foundation, each site now hosts music classes every 15 days, giving children the opportunity to explore rhythm, sound, and creativity in a structured and joyful way. Through these moments, they are not only learning music but growing in confidence and self-expression.

Meet Esther, 22. 🤍

She’s a high school student at the Gampèla Centre in Burkina Faso, determined to finish her education despite the challenges her family faces every day.

When her family could no longer afford her school fees, Esther refused to give up. During school breaks, she took on small jobs like cleaning houses, selling food, and doing whatever she could to stay in school.

But by October last year, it still wasn’t enough.

After sharing her situation with the Centre coordinator, Esther received a school fee subsidy that allowed her to continue her studies this year.

“I tried my best and I knew it wasn’t enough, but I knew I would get help at the Centre to continue school this year. The support I received encourages me to never give up and make all of you proud in the future.”

Esther’s story reminds us that determination needs a community beside it. Thank you to everyone walking alongside us and helping students like Esther keep dreaming.

As Mother’s Day approaches, we invite you to honour women by investing in opportunity.
At the Gampela Centre, women trained in sewing are ready to take the next step toward sustainable work. With access to tools, a place to practice their craft, and guidance from experienced mentors, their skills can become a steady source of income and stability.
Salimata’s journey reflects why this support matters. Coming from a family facing financial hardship, she worked tirelessly during school breaks, cleaning houses and selling food, just to stay enrolled. Even with her determination, it wasn’t enough. When
the Centre stepped in to help, she was able to continue her education and move forward with renewed confidence and resolve.
Women like Salimata don’t lack effort or ability. What they need is a practical pathway forward.
