🎉 Welcome to Rotary, Brittany Horrigan!

This week, we were pleased to welcome Brittany Horrigan as the newest member of the Rotary Club of Cambridge (Preston-Hespeler)!

Brittany was sponsored by her mother, Arlette, our incoming Treasurer.

An entrepreneur at heart, Brittany previously owned and operated a successful quick-service restaurant before moving into social media, branding, and marketing. Today, she owns Edgetown Design, where she works as a Social Media Manager, and also works alongside Arlette at Eclipse Inc. Bookkeeping Services.

Having grown up in Cambridge, Brittany is looking forward to becoming more involved in her hometown, connecting with others, and contributing to the community in a meaningful way.

We’re excited to have Brittany join our Rotary family and look forward to the experience, energy, and creativity she’ll bring to the club. And with her social media expertise, our PR team may already be planning to put her talents to work! 😉

Please join us in giving Brittany a warm Rotary welcome! 👏

We were thrilled to recently welcome two past exchange students back to our club!

It was a treat to catch up with both Serena Gillespie and Jonas Senez.

Jonas Senez updated us on his life over the past two years, sharing what he’s been up to since returning home to France for university. He shared that he feels most like himself speaking English and being back in Canada again.

Serena Gillespie brought back wonderful stories and insights from her time this summer reconnecting with her host families that she met during her exchange in Japan. Her exchange prompted her studies in Global and International Relations and a summer teaching English in Laos.

Seeing the lifelong impact of these international connections reminds us why we love this program.

Looking to embark on your own global adventure? We are now officially accepting applications for the Rotary Youth Exchange program for the 2027–2028 school year! If you or a student you know is ready to discover new cultures, build global friendships, and gain unforgettable life experiences, join us for an open house on September 24th or visit our website.
