🍂 This Thanksgiving, let’s make room for everyone at the table. 💜

For many, Thanksgiving is a time of family, gratitude, and gathering around a warm meal. But for others, the holidays can bring feelings of loneliness, isolation, or uncertainty about where their next meal will come from.

At the Freedom Centre Cambridge, we believe everyone deserves food, dignity, kindness, and a place to belong. ❤️

And that commitment doesn’t end when the holiday weekend is over.

🥪 Sandwiches in the Park
Every Monday | 5:00–6:00 PM

A simple meal can be so much more than food. It’s an opportunity to connect, share kindness, and remind someone that they matter.

🤝 Cambridge Neighbourhood Table
Every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month

Bringing people together through community, connection, and a welcoming space where everyone deserves to feel valued.

💜 Because community isn’t just about having a place at the table. It’s about making sure nobody feels forgotten.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – WARMING CENTRE MINISTRY ❄️

This winter, the Freedom Centre is once again helping provide sandwiches for those staying at the Warming Centre overnight from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.

We are looking for volunteers who can help us every Monday afternoon from 2:00–4:00 p.m. at:

📍 Freedom Centre
1332 Hamilton Street, Cambridge

Each week, a team of volunteers will work together to prepare approximately 120 sandwiches, along with:

🥪 Making and wrapping sandwiches
🍞 Preparing and bagging bread
🍪 Bagging desserts
📦 Preparing everything for distribution

You don't have to commit every week! We are thankful for volunteers who can help on a bi-weekly basis or even when their schedule allows.

This is a simple but meaningful way to help provide a meal and a little comfort to people who are facing a difficult season.

A completely free clothing haul from Plato’s Closet?! SAY LESS 🛍️

Freedom Centre is partnering with Plato’s Closet to give away a FREE bag of clothing and a FREE meal for local high school students.

Need to refresh your wardrobe or grab a great meal after school? We’ve got you covered! Join us at the Freedom Centre for our upcoming free youth pop-up event designed entirely for local students in grades 9 through 12.

Here is what you get completely free:
🎒 FREE clothing bag – fill it up with trendy styles from Plato’s Closet!
🍔 FREE take-out meal to go – grab dinner on us before you head home.

We welcome all local high schoolers, including students from:

☕ Buddy Check is heading out for breakfast!

Join Preston Legion Branch 126 on **Sunday, October 4 at 10 a.m.** at **Zaz Bistro, 916 King Street East, Cambridge**, for breakfast, coffee and good conversation.

CAF members and veterans, Commonwealth veterans and RCMP are welcome. **You don’t need to be a Legion member to attend!**
