Our incredible high school student leaders are gearing up for the YMCA NOW (Newcomer Orientation Week) program! They’ve been busy learning how to be the ultimate welcoming guides.
 
These student leaders are stepping up to make sure every incoming newcomer high school student across Resurrection, St. Mary’s, GCI, Forest Heights, St. Benedict, WCI, and Eastwood feels supported, included, and right at home from day one. We are so proud of this team and everything they’re doing to build a stronger community across our local schools.
 
A huge thank you to the youth and the settlement workers who put in so much effort to make this possible.

Join us August 10–13 for a week of workshops focused on supporting your mental and physical wellbeing 💙 From fun activities to wellness sessions to fitness, there’s something for everyone!

These workshops are for youth and young adults ages 12–26 (please note that age requirements vary by event, check the schedule for details).

🚗 🫧 What a great day at our Youth Car Wash at the A.R. Kaufman YMCA!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support our fundraiser. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we raised over $300 to support youth programming and create more opportunities for youth in our community.

We'd also like to recognize our incredible youth volunteers, who worked hard all day washing cars, greeting customers, and helping make this event a success. Your dedication, teamwork, and positive attitudes made all the difference!

Thank you to everyone who donated, stopped by for a car wash, and helped spread the word. We couldn't have done it without you!

Our youth volunteers were the true MVPs of this tournament this year! 🙌⚽ Through the collaboration between our youth and children’s programs, these young leaders had the opportunity to share their passion for soccer, mentor and encourage younger players, and make a meaningful impact in our community.

Get your car sparkling clean while supporting a great local initiative! The A.R. Kaufman Family YMCA Youth Team is hosting a car wash fundraiser, and our incredible youth will be hard at work washing your cars.

📍Where: A.R. Kaufman Family YMCA (333 Carwood Avenue, Kitchener, ON)
📅When: July 30th from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
💰Cost: Pay-what-you-can!

✨Shine Brighter Together is a fun, supportive multisession for female-identifying youth ages 12–15!✨
 
Join us August 10–14 from 10am-12pm for a week of activities designed to help you build confidence, make new friends, and have fun in a welcoming space. MHAN (Mental Health & Addiction Nurses) will support and facilitate those topics explored during the week! 
 
To get the most out of the experience, participants are expected to attend all five days of the program. Lunch is provided every day!

✨ Our Henna Workshop was a huge success! ✨
The youth had such a wonderful time getting beautiful henna designs by our two incredibly talented henna artist staff members. 🎨🤎 Their creativity and skill made the experience extra special, and it was amazing to see everyone having fun, connecting, and leaving with smiles (and gorgeous henna!).
A big thank you to our amazing staff for making this workshop such a memorable one! 💕
