🌪️ COLLECTIVE CHAOS 2026. Rain Couldn't Stop the Rotors! What an incredible weekend! Despite a terrible weather forecast threatening heavy rain, the clouds parted,the rain stopped and the sun showed up, and the club pulled off an unforgettable event.
🚁 By The Numbers: 20 Registered Pilots. A fantastic turnout despite the early weather warnings and some pilots cancelling their trips. From micro to 700 Size, every class of machine was represented on the flight line. All Skill Levels from absolute beginners to seasoned pros sharing the airspace.
3 Total Crashes: Pour one out for the fallen airframes—part of pushing the limits!
🏆 Fun & Festivities: Amateur "Competition" Winner: Huge congratulations to Andrew Merkel for taking the top spot after 5 brave pilots stepped up to the flight line to showcase their skills and try and wow the judges.
Pro Demos & Learning: Pro pilots Dima Vinar and Billy Sventouris wowed the crowd with mind-bending demo flights and spent hours in the pits helping others tune and troubleshoot.
Night Flying: Once the sun went down, 3 dedicated pilots braved and onslaught of mosquitoes to get some flights in under the night sky with glowing blades and bright LED light towers.
Field Life: a few pilots set up camp right at the flying field, maximizing their time at the event.
BBQ Lunch: A huge thank you to the grill masters for keeping everyone fueled with a great BBQ spread.
