Yesterday, on 21st February, we observed International Mother Language Day — a day that holds deep historical and cultural significance.

It is a day to remember the Language Martyrs and honour the sacrifices made to protect the right to speak one’s mother tongue. At the same time, it is a celebration of linguistic diversity and the countless languages that shape identities, cultures, and communities across the world.

Language is more than a means of communication — it carries history, emotion, and a sense of belonging. As the Bengali Students’ Association at SAIT, this day is especially meaningful to us, and we stand in solidarity with the values of respect, inclusion, and the preservation of all mother languages.

Day 2 at the SAIT Club Expo — and what a great way to wrap it up! ✨

We had an amazing second and final day at the Club Expo. It was wonderful to see so many students stop by our booth, engage with us, take part in writing their names in Bengali, and learn more about the Bengali Students’ Association at SAIT.

Many visitors especially enjoyed seeing their names written in Bengali. It was amazing to see the excitement as they saw their names in a new script and took a small piece of the language with them.

The conversations, smiles, curiosity, and genuine interest made these two days truly special. From sharing bits of language and culture to simply connecting with people, the energy at our booth was incredible.

A big thank you to everyone who visited us, supported us, and spent time getting to know our club. This expo was a great success, and we’re grateful for the love and enthusiasm we received over both days.

Looking forward to many more moments like this ahead 💚❤️

We had an amazing time engaging with fellow students, sharing meaningful conversations, and showcasing the language, culture, and community that the Bengali Students’ Association at SAIT stands for.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, interacted with us, and made today such a fun and memorable experience. Your support and curiosity truly mean a lot to us.
