CMHA-Edmonton is offering a free, plain-language course called Understanding AISH and ADAP. It covers eligibility, the application process, what to expect after applying, and practical strategies for income reporting and managing budgets.
Multiple dates through June - August, in person in Edmonton and online via Zoom.
It is free and open to people with disabilities, caregivers, and support workers.

Stand in Solidarity for Transit Worker Safety

CUPE Local 4731 stands in full solidarity with ATU Local 583 and Calgary Transit workers.

No worker should ever have to fear for their safety while doing their job. The recent assault on a Transit Operator is a reminder of the risks frontline workers face every day and why stronger protections and accountability are needed.

We encourage anyone who can attend to join the rally:

🌟 Women Breaking Barriers 🌟

Calling all CUPE 4731 members!

CUPE is offering the Women Breaking Barriers workshop in Calgary on October 17-18, 2026. This two-day course focuses on women's leadership, activism, and empowerment within our union and communities. Participants will explore barriers and challenges women face, discover their own leadership style, and develop a plan for their next steps in union involvement and leadership.

🎉 A great night at the Rec Room! 🎉

Thank you to our amazing Social Committee for putting together such a fun event. It was great to see so many members come out to enjoy some food, games, and good company while getting to know fellow CUPE 4731 members.

We're seeing more and more member involvement, and creating opportunities for members to connect is important to us. This was just the first of many social events to come, so keep an eye out for future events!

CUPE Local 4731 members at the Rise Up Rally in Calgary yesterday! ✊

It was great to see such a strong turnout from union members, community advocates, and everyday Albertans coming together to stand up for workers' rights, human rights, public services, and the right to be heard.

Thank you to everyone who showed up and raised their voice for stronger communities and a better Alberta.
