2025 Friends of Canadian Simmental Foundation Scholarship Winners!

Calgary, Alberta – Friends of Canadian Simmental Foundation (FCSF) are pleased to announce the recipients of their 2025 scholarships. It is rewarding to see the quality and depth of the candidates that were evaluated through our selection process this year.
The quality and potential within the youth of our beef industry is great and while we would like to assist all those who applied, we are limited to five scholarships: the Friends of Canadian Simmental Foundation Scholarship (4) and the Trevor Vance- First Year Scholarship (1), with a combined value of $15,000.
This year’s recipients illustrated the bright future that our youth are presenting to not only to agriculture and the Simmental breed but society in general.
Friends of Canadian Simmental Foundation Scholarships valued at $3,000 each were awarded to Jackson Corner – Caledonia, ON, Max Burris– Gunn, AB, Shelby Woytiuk, Shell Lake, SK, and Lilly Howell – Penhold, AB. Jackson is currently enrolled at the University of Guelph working towards his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Major in Animal Science. Max is enrolled at the University of Saskatchewan working to obtain his degree in Animal Bioscience. Shelby is attending the University of Saskatchewan working towards her goal of a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy. Lilly is working towards her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree, majors in Accounting and Business Analytics at the University of Arizona.
Trevor Vance - First Year Scholarship, in memory of Trevor Edward Vance valued at $3,000 was awarded to Heidi McFadden of Douro Dummer, Ontario. Megan is currently enrolled at the University of Guelph working towards her Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Food and Agricultural Business with a minor in Data Analytics.

This year’s recipients have displayed leadership, development skills and a dedication to their community, as well as the livestock industry. The Friends of Canadian Simmental Foundation is a not-for-profit charitable foundation that is dedicated to scholarships and educational support of youth, as well as research for the improvement of Canadian agriculture.
