Another beautiful session filled with creativity, learning, and connection. From delicate stitches to shared stories, it was inspiring to see participants grow in confidence and skill while celebrating embroidery as an art form. This session, we enjoyed working on tree embroidery with our amazing local artists. 🌳✨

A Free Bird Art Council was pleased to collaborate with Pamir Canadian Multiculturalism Council (PCMC) in the Seeds of Change Group Meeting held at the Genesis Centre, focused on reflection, alignment, and future planning.

Participants took part in the Future Triangle Group Activity, a strategic foresight tool that explores how the future is shaped by multiple forces — what is driving change, what barriers exist, and what shared vision guides us forward.

The session created space for thoughtful reflection, collective learning, and deeper alignment among grassroots leaders working toward stronger and more inclusive communities.

🍲 COOKING CLASS – Sharing Cultures, One Plate at a Time!

What a wonderful and heartwarming community event!

A Free Bird Art Council was proud to collaborate on a special Cooking Class with Nazmeen Alam and Dewangi Naik Koda, where community members came together to cook, connect, socialize, and enjoy every bite.

This beautiful gathering brought together local community cooking artists who shared their dishes, stories, and traditions—celebrating culture through food and friendship.

In collaboration with Genesis Centre, Planet Youth, Trellis Society, and Pamir Canadian Multiculturalism Council, and proudly supported by the City of Calgary, this event highlighted the power of food in building inclusive and connected communities.
