Hello, dog lovers!
We have a long and overdue dog of the week! Please meet.. Jenna Bean! 🐶

From her mom:
She is a very intelligent dog! She’s very loving, but very protective of her kids. She’s the best coworker I can have with my day home!

A pleasure to meet you, sweet girl!

📄 Document Shredding Event
Saturday, October 24 | 10 AM – 1 PM
McKenzie Towne Hall parking lot (40 McKenzie Towne Blvd SE)

This event is brought to us by Tom Kmiec, MP for Calgary Shepard, and his team. They’re bringing the Shred-it truck so you can securely dispose of old documents, and they’re collecting non-perishable food items for the Veterans Food Bank of Calgary while they are there.

The truck will stay until it’s full or until 1 PM - whichever comes first.

Big thanks to Tom and his team for organizing this for our community! Tom Kmiec

We are deeply saddened by the tragic incident at CFB Wainwright this weekend. Our hearts go out to the families, friends, and colleagues of those who lost their lives and those who sustained injury - and to everyone in the Wainwright community as well as the Canadian Armed Forces who are grieving right now.

To those who were injured, we wish you strength and a full recovery. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this heartbreaking loss.

Members of the Canadian Armed Forces and the families who support them give so much in service to our country. This loss is felt across Alberta and beyond, including here in our own community.

We’re grateful to the first responders, health care workers, and all those who responded quickly and continue to care for those affected.

As a mark of respect, our roundabout flags are being flown at half-mast in honour of those who lost their lives and all who have been affected.

McKenzie Towne stands with Wainwright, the Canadian Armed Forces, and their families. In the days ahead, we will keep them in our thoughts.
