ST JAMES’ DAY 2026

Our annual St James Day Walk and Potluck Picnic will be held in a Douglasdale backyard adjacent to Fish Creek Park Trails.
SUNDAY, JULY 26 at 10:00 AM we will meet for an approximate 2 hour walk in Fish Creek Park followed by a Potluck Picnic from 12-3 pm.

WHAT TO BRING:
*lawn chair (some extras will be available)
*a plate, cup, cutlery
*a picnic item to share - appetizer, main,or dessert
Cold drinks, coffee and tea will be available
*do bring your Camino memories/stories, questions, and "Ah Ah Moments"!

to say you will be attending, as well as inform us if you will be walking the Camino this fall. The exact address will then be forwarded to you.

COME WHENEVER YOU CAN!
Not everyone will be walking

Come enjoy an evening sharing Camino stories and favourite memories, while renewing pilgrim friendships and making new ones.
There will be time to hear what’s new in the Camino world and learn about some less travelled routes in Spain.
There will also be a Shell Ceremony for those planning on walking this year.
Potluck cookie table to go with our coffee/tea, so it would be grand if you would bring a few cookies to share.

Cost is $30.00

Camino 101 is an all day event designed to assist the pilgrim with planning their Camino. Experienced pilgrims provide information on how to get there; clothes, boots, and equipment to bring; places to stay; where to find food and what is available; first aid; technology; walking solo and much more. There is ample time for questions and discussion with speakers and other pilgrims. Lunch, snacks and beverages provided. You will leave feeling more confident about your preparation for this lifetime experience.
