Members of our leadership team had such a great opportunity to learn from Pete Bombaci, founder of GenWell, and explore the important role that human connection plays in building stronger, healthier communities.

Pete’s message was such a meaningful reminder that connection isn’t just something that feels good, it has a real impact on our well-being, our workplaces, and the communities we create together.

A huge thank you to the Rotary Club of Calgary Downtown for bringing us together and providing this wonderful learning opportunity. We’re grateful for the chance to connect, reflect, and take some new ideas back into the work we do every day. 💛

Many exciting and meaningful activities were taking place at our Dover center today, the children were taught how to make bannock, listened to storytelling, engaged in drumming circles and painted rocks for a garden of connection.

At our Haysboro Centre, Liz visited with our program to talk about the Seven Grandfather Teachings and the animals that represent them. She shared some traditional medicines, including sage, cedar and sweetgrass, which the children had a chance to smell. She also brought some homemade bannock and jam for children to try. Kindergarten went for a nature hunt and used what they found to represent their ideas. Children shared their ideas of how children deserve to feel at school.

Thank you, Liz! We are so grateful to have our families share their knowledge with us 🧡
