Signal Hill’s biggest day of the year. Three bouncy castles, face painting, the pickleball trial, yard games, a community BBQ. Free hot dogs & drinks for SHCA members ($20/yr — sign up at the door covers it). All ages, all neighbours.

The Community Clean Up was a great success. We started out of the gates slow but after we caught up, people were entering/exiting fast.

We tried to organize a metals recycler for our event in advance but due to schedule conflict and restrictions we were not able to secure one and hence our advertising to reject metals. However, a “community volunteer’ connected us to a vendor the day of and we arranged a metals recycler last minute.

We had happy residents, volunteers, and vendors to make our Clean up one of the best so far.

It was a pleasure to organize this valuable event. On behalf of the Community Associations of Discovery Ridge, Signal Hill, and SpringBank Hill a hearty thank you to all the people who made this a success.

That’s a wrap on the 2026 Community Cleanup. 🚛🧤

Three communities. One parking lot. A whole lot of junk gone.

Huge thank you to everyone who showed up – early birds at 9 AM, the last car at 1:45 PM, and every neighbour in between. You made the line move, the trucks fill up, and the donations find new homes.

And to the volunteers, City crew, Westside King’s Church, Tim Hortons, Subway, and our donation partners (Calgary Drop-in Centre + Cerebral Palsy Alberta) – this event runs because of you.

Huge thank you to the volunteers, City crew, and everyone who’s already rolled through. Three communities, one lot, and zero chaos – you love to see it.

Yes, you can still come!
📍 Westside King’s Church (69 St & Springbank Blvd)
⏰ Gate closes at 1:45 PM sharp – that’s still a couple hours away.
🚗 Stay in your car, volunteers unload for you.
✅ Furniture, electronics, donations, general junk all welcome.
❌ No appliances, tires, sport equipment, or commercial waste.

Best time right now is before 1:45 PM. Seriously. Come now.

🚗 Residents only (no commercial vans – Peace Officer on site).
Last car accepted 1:45 PM sharp. Come early, leave happy.
