Helping the Marda Loop community spot the warning signs. 💙

BBB partnered with ATB Financial to deliver a community presentation at the Marda Loop Community Association, sharing practical guidance on identifying trustworthy businesses, recognizing scams and knowing where to turn for support.

The session covered high-risk investment and financial scams, phishing, AI-related scams and heartstring scams.

Thank you to ATB Financial and the Marda Loop Community Association for helping bring important fraud-prevention education to the community.

What does it take to become BBB Accredited? 💙

It takes more than putting a seal on your website. It means making trust part of how you do business every day.

BBB Accreditation is built on 8 Standards for Trust:
✓ Build trust: Maintain a positive track record in the marketplace.
✓ Advertise honestly: Follow ethical advertising and selling practices.
✓ Tell the truth: Clearly and accurately represent your products, services and terms.
✓ Be transparent: Give customers the information they need to make informed decisions.
✓ Honor promises: Follow through on contracts, commitments and representations.
✓ Be responsive: Address customer concerns and disputes quickly and in good faith.
✓ Safeguard privacy: Protect customer information and respect how it is used.
✓ Embody integrity: Approach every business interaction with honesty, fairness and good faith.

And it doesn't stop once you've become accredited.

Accredited Businesses commit to meeting the Standards for Trust continuously. Because trust isn't something you earn once. It's something you build, protect and demonstrate every day.

Meet the standards. Earn the Seal.

It's Thank a Business Month! 💙

Behind every storefront, service call, and small business is a team of people working hard to serve our communities.

This month, let's celebrate the businesses that make a difference. Whether they've provided great service, supported a local cause, or simply made your day a little easier, take a moment to let them know they're appreciated.

👇 Tag a local business in the comments and tell them why you're thankful for them. Your kind words can go a long way!
