Thank you to the The Salvation Army Calgary for having me yesterday! 👑

I have been very passionate for years about the backpack angels program and programs like it. I have donated backpacks and supplies for years 🖍️ 📚 but have never been on the other side! Yesterday I got to meet the incredible families that came in to pick out the backpacks and the awesome staff behind the scenes🥹

There was a time in my life when my family wasn’t able to afford new supplies or backpacks for my Brother and I; and I truly believe this program is amazing 🙏🏻

Everyone was so lovely and the kiddos were so excited to pick out their new bags 🤍

Thank you The Salvation Army Calgary for all that you do for our city. I will see you again soon at the Christmas Toy Drive event! 🎁

Our Outreach Team were happy to participate in the Calgary Pop-Up Care Village on Friday. Just like any day at our Mobile Support Station, our staff offered refreshments, shared info, and provided a welcoming space for questions and connection.

We had a great All Star team for our 7th week of Summer Day Camp! A group of 4 and 5 yr olds played games, made crafts, learned and connected. Thank you to our staff, our volunteers, and all our amazing All Star Campers for a fun week!

📦 Do you love staying organized, keeping things clean, or working with inventory? We’re looking for Warehouse Attendant Volunteers to join our Operations Team at The Salvation Army Community Services (Calgary)!

As a Warehouse Attendant, you’ll help keep our warehouse and delivery vehicles clean, organized, and ready to support programs serving neighbours in Calgary. Your time behind the scenes helps our staff focus on the important work of providing care and support to the community. ❤️

What you’ll help with:
✨ Cleaning company trucks and delivery vehicles
📦 Organizing warehouse products and preparing for inventory
🧹 General warehouse cleaning and organization
🗂️ Office assistance and cleaning as needed

Commitment:
📅 3–4 hours weekly on Mondays or Fridays
🕐 Flexible between 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
📍 Community Resource Centre, #100 – 5115 17th Ave SE, Calgary
🔞 Must be 18+

Volunteers must complete required policies and training and wear appropriate PPE, including closed-toe shoes and pants.
