SYC Mentorship

SYC Mentorship The program is designed to help post-secondary students learn more about their potential careers, by pairing them with working professionals.

The program was established in January 2009 through an effort of Sikh Youth Calgary (SYC), to foster a continuing relationship between students and working professionals. The program is aimed to help strengthen student learning and confidence, by infusing positive role models and a network made up of strong individuals. The program will involve mentors periodically meeting with their mentees, to s

how them the inner workings of the professional world. The mentors will guide mentees by providing them with information on their careers, schools, and the day-to-day job requirements. The program works to breakdown barriers, and strengthen communication between different generations of individuals, through support and guidance.
