Calgary Chhath Puja - 2024

Namaste

As we bask in the afterglow of our recent Chhath Puja festivities, we wanted to share a bit of our journey with you all. Our very first Chhath Puja in Calgary was held privately in 2021.

Inspired by last 2 years of grand success of Chhath Puja publicly held in year 2022, 2023, we continued our root culture and celebration of Chhath Puja this year.

This year, the participation and enthusiasm we witnessed during the three-day festivities were nothing short of incredible. Seeing so many people come together to honor this tradition was a heartwarming reminder of the power of community and cultural heritage.

We are immensely proud to keep our culture alive and thriving in Calgary. Our journey from a private gathering to a public celebration is a testament to the inclusive spirit of this wonderful city. It's not just about keeping a tradition alive; it's about sharing it with others, learning from each other, and building a community that respects and cherishes diversity.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, supported, and contributed to making this event a resounding success. Let's continue to celebrate our rich cultural tapestry and make Calgary a place where every culture can flourish.

Here's to many more years of Chhath Puja in Calgary!
