🦋 RSVPs are now open for our Heart Garden Gathering & Butterfly Release.

Join us on Sunday, August 30 from 1:00–4:00 PM at the Silver Springs Botanical Gardens for an afternoon together in the Heart Garden.

We’ll gather for a short ceremony and butterfly release, followed by refreshments, family activities and time to connect.

The Heart Garden was created as a place to honour children with congenital heart disease who we carry in our hearts, and this gathering extends beyond our Heart Beats community. Families from the broader child-loss community are warmly invited to join us and honour your child alongside ours.

🦋 Butterfly reservations are now open for our Heart Garden Gathering & Butterfly Release.

Whether you joined us last year or this will be your first time, we would love to welcome you.

🦋 Butterflies can be reserved for a $25 donation and released in honour of your child, a family member, friend or someone special to you.

For our Heart Garden families, one butterfly will be waiting for each family to release in honour of their child, with no donation required.

This gathering is for our whole Heart Beats community. It is a space to come together, honour the children we remember and connect with one another

🌿 SAVE THE DATE – HEART GARDEN GATHERING 🌿

Join us for an afternoon of remembrance, connection, and community as we honour our Heart Heroes and those we carry with us every day.

Last year, one of our Heart Beats families inspired us to open our Heart Garden Gathering and butterfly release to the broader bereavement community. While they aren't able to lead the initiative this year, we are grateful to continue that vision and invite our wider community to join us once again.

🦋 Butterfly Release

Heart Beats will once again provide a butterfly for every heart family with a commemorative stone in the Heart Garden at no cost.

For a $25 donation, Heart Beats will also release a butterfly in honour of someone you love. We hope you'll join us on August 30 as we gather in remembrance and community.

💙 Have you lost a Heart Hero?

If you've lost a child to pediatric heart disease and aren't familiar with our Heart Garden Program, we'd be honoured to connect with you.

Heart Beats provides a commemorative engraved stone in our Heart Garden at no cost to families, creating a lasting place to remember and honour their child's life.

It takes a community to make a day like our 17th Annual Heart Beats Fun Run & Walk possible.

While we recently had the opportunity to recognize our sponsors, we also wanted to acknowledge the incredible community partners, local businesses, volunteers, and organizations who helped make the day so special. From activities and entertainment to food, logistics, and helping us spread the word, your support created an unforgettable experience for our families.

🌲 Camp Evergreen Registration is Now Closed 🌲

Wow... what an incredible response.

Registration for Camp Evergreen is now closed. We are so grateful to our Heart Beats families for the overwhelming interest in this year's camp.

Thank you to everyone who registered and continues to make this community so special. Seeing so many families eager to spend a weekend connecting, making memories, and supporting one another is a wonderful reminder of why Camp Evergreen exists.

Our volunteer team will now begin working through registrations and will be in touch with families over the coming days to confirm spots and provide next steps. We appreciate your patience as we work through each registration carefully.

The wait is over! Registration requests are now being accepted for one of our favourite weekends of the year.

Camp Evergreen is open to Heart Beats families with a child with a heart condition who has been seen at Alberta Children's Hospital or Providence Clinic, including families who carry the love and memory of a child affected by heart disease.

✨ A weekend of connection, adventure, and community, including:
🛶 Canoeing
🏹 Archery
🐴 Horseback Riding
🔥 Camp Activities & Family Connection

Camp Fees
• $50 — Ages 8+
• $25 — Ages 5–7
• FREE — Ages 4 & under
