Heart Beats is a grass-roots registered charitable organization that has been helping families of children with pediatric or congenital heart disease (PHD/CHD) since 1987. You can donate your recyclables to our Skip the Depot page, register for our 2021 Stroll to the Stollery and 50/50 Raffle, as well as visit our website all using this link!

We said we'd hold off on the Christmas music. We said nothing about Christmas planning. 😂

We're putting together our HeartBeats Christmas Party Planning Committee and looking for a few people who'd like to take the lead on some of the fun pieces.

🌲❤️ What a weekend!

This year, 28 families from our HeartBeats community spent the weekend together at Camp Evergreen, making memories, reconnecting with old friends, and welcoming new families into the mix.

A huge thank you to the incredible team for welcoming our families back and creating a space where kids can be kids, families can connect, and our heart community can spend time together having a blast.

And a very special thank you to Keremy, our Camp Coordinator, who puts so much into bringing this weekend together for our families. There is an incredible amount of work behind the scenes to make a weekend like this happen, and we are so grateful for the care she brings to it. ❤️

And to our families, thank you for showing up and making this weekend what it is. These weekends are about so much more than the activities. They’re about the friendships, conversations, and little moments of connection that happen along the way.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year’s Heart Garden Gathering.

To the families who trusted us with your children’s names and memories, and everyone who stood alongside them with love and care, thank you.

We are incredibly grateful to our speakers, volunteers, youth helpers, and community partners who donated their time and helped make the afternoon so meaningful. Thank you as well to Silver Springs Botanical Gardens for welcoming us into such a beautiful space.

Although it was too cold to safely release the butterflies together, families were able to take them home to release on a warmer day. Please keep an eye on our stories as we share the beautiful moments sent to us.

The Heart Garden is a place to remember, honour, and celebrate children who remain forever in our hearts. We are grateful to everyone who helped hold that space with us.

We’ll gather for a short ceremony and butterfly release, followed by refreshments, family activities and time to connect.

The Heart Garden was created as a place to honour children with congenital heart disease who we carry in our hearts, and this gathering extends beyond our Heart Beats community. Families from the broader child-loss community are warmly invited to join us and honour your child alongside ours.

🦋 Heart Garden families with a stone in the garden are invited to reserve one butterfly at no cost

🦋 Butterfly reservations are now open for our Heart Garden Gathering & Butterfly Release.

The Heart Garden was created as a place to honour children with congenital heart disease we carry in our hearts, but this gathering extends beyond our Heart Beats community. Families from the broader child-loss community are warmly invited to join us, honour your child or someone special to you, and spend the afternoon with us. Whether you joined us last year or this will be your first time, we would love to welcome you.

🦋 Butterflies can be reserved for a $25 donation and released in honour of your child, a family member, friend or someone special to you.

For our Heart Garden families, one butterfly will be waiting for each family to release in honour of their child, with no donation required.

This gathering is for our whole Heart Beats community. It is a space to come together, honour the children we remember and connect with one another
