Thank you for all you do Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society - AARCS & Canadian Animal Task Force!
Nearly 300 animals are safe now after a massive rescue mission between AARCS and the Canadian Animal Task Force. 💚💙 This was a carefully coordinated and collaborative effort of over 16 animal welfare agencies from across the province.
For the past few days, we’ve been working with RCMP in Valleyview to lead a large-scale rescue operation. Dogs, cats, a rabbit and livestock were living in extremely poor conditions at two properties operating as an animal rescue.
We sent veterinary staff and experienced volunteers to ensure every animal could be examined, receive urgent care if needed, and be transported to safety. ❤️🩹 We are grateful they were surrendered into our care.
While we cannot speak to details of the ongoing investigation, we would like to remind everyone to do their research when looking to surrender or adopt an animal. 📋 Make sure you’re working with organizations that are transparent, put the needs of the animals first, and are ensuring a high standard of care. What these animals experienced is simply not acceptable. ❌
We’re grateful to the many organizations that stepped up to help with placement and boarding, ensuring these animals had a safe place to land during their time of crisis. 🐶🐱🐴 The community was also a huge help with feeding our teams, gassing up our vehicles and lending their support.
Now, we need your help. ✨ We're looking for volunteers, foster homes for shy, medium- and large-breed dogs, and donations. If you are interested and able to help, please visit aarcs.ca/media/northern-rescue for more information.
