PCCA Alberta PCCA Alberta is non-political, non-religious, not-for-profit organization of Pakistani Canadians in the province of Alberta Aims:

Mission Statement:
To provide a platform for Pakistani Canadians and others they celebrate Pakistani culture. Also serve as community based grassroots organization that should strengthen the ties between all communities living in Canada. To promote the universal values of Pakistani culture and endorse this culture as part of multiculturalism in Canada
II. To work for the welfare and uplifting of t

he economic conditions of Canadians of Pakistani origin
III. To promote a sense of fellowship, cooperation and cohesion among its members and other communities living in Canada
IV. To raise the issues and concerns relating to Pakistani Canadians at all government levels
V. To undertake social projects for the betterment of the community
VI. To educate community on various government programs
VII. To celebrate the national days of Pakistan and Canada

Objectives:
I. Organize or sponsor social, cultural and educational activities and other programs which may be of general interest to its members
II. Shall become a vehicle of expression and representation for Pakistani origin Canadians with regard to their legitimate concerns and interests
III. Shall help new Pakistani Canadians in process of settlement and acclimatization in Canada. Also provide guidelines to potential immigrants regarding Canadian immigration policy and procedures
IV. Organize national, cultural and social events to promote art, music, literature and other cultural aspects of Pakistani life
V. Organize trade shows, food festivals etc. to create a social network
VI. Organize special activities for youth, women and seniors
VII. Shall explore/pursue legal ways to raise funds for the Association
VIII. Association shall compile a directory and contact list for members and families

إِنَّا لِلّٰہِ وَاِنَّآ اِلَیْہِ رَاجِعُوْنَ

دعائے مغفرت برائے مقتول عبدالقیوم مفتی (کیلگری) !

پی سی سی اے البرٹا ان تمام احباب کی شکر گزار ہے جنہوں نے اس بابرکت محفل میں شرکت کی اور مرحوم کے لئے قرآن خوانی و فاتحہ خوانی کی۔

شرکاء محفل نے مرحوم کی مغفرت کے ساتھ کمیونٹی کی فلاح و بہبود کے لیے دعائے خیر کی اور مقتول کے ورثاء سے دلی تعزیت بھی کی ۔

منتظمین نے کمیونٹی کے دیگر مسائل پر بھی بات کی اور اس عزم کا اعادہ کیا کہ بعض اہم مسائل پر بات کرنے اور ان کی آگاہی کے لئے بہت جلد کمیونٹی کی سطح پر نوجوان کی شمولیت کو یقینی بناتے ہوئے مختلف مجالس کا انتظام کیا جائے گا۔

اللہ تعالیٰ مرحوم کو جنت الفردوس میں اعلیٰ مقام عطا فرمائے۔ آمین

إِنَّا لِلّٰہِ وَاِنَّآ اِلَیْہِ رَاجِعُوْنَ

PCCA Alberta expresses its sincere gratitude to all who attended the blessed gathering on May 2, 2026, at Faizan-E-Madina Islamic Centre, Calgary, to recite the Holy Quran and offer Fatiha for "Abdul Qayyum M***i".

Together, we prayed for his forgiveness and for the peace and well-being of our community. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family during this difficult time.

The gathering also provided an opportunity to discuss community matters. PCCA Alberta reaffirms its commitment to organizing future community forums to address important issues and raise awareness, with a strong focus on youth participation.

May ALLAH grant "Abdul Qayyum M***i" the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdaus. Ameen.

PCCA Alberta invites you to join in for Dua-e-Khair for late Abdul Qayyum M***i.

Mr. M***i was reported missing in August 2023, his remains were found in October 2024 but due to the condition of remains and amount of time exposed to environmental and animal activity, no cause of death was determined.

Due to all these factors and ongoing investigation, lack of communication with Calgary police and the community his remains were transferred to Pakistan where he was buried at his ancestral village.

As community members we think his funeral prayer should have been held in Calgary before his remains were taken to Pakistan, but it was not possible.

PCCA Alberta is holding the special prayer to make sure we pay respect to late Mr. M***i that May Allah elevate his status in Jannah.

کشمیر سے تعلق رکھنے والے ہماری کمیونٹی کے ایک سینئر رکن، عبدالقیوم مفتی، اگست 2023 میں کیلگری میں اپنے گھر سے لاپتہ ہوگئے تھے۔ افسوس کے ساتھ اطلاع دی جاتی ہے کہ حال ہی میں ان کی لاش کیلگری کے نواحی علاقے سے برآمد ہوئی ہے۔ اس افسوسناک واقعے کے محرکات اور ذمہ داران کے تعین کے لیے قانونی اور تفتیشی عمل قانون نافذ کرنے والے اداروں کی ذمہ داری ہے۔ مرحوم کی میت کو کمیونٹی کے علم میں لائے بغیر ہی پاکستان روانہ کردیا گیا تھا جہاں نکیال آزاد کشمیر میں ان کی تدفین کی گئی، اسی وجہ سے کیلگری میں ان کا جنازہ ادا نہ ہوسکا۔

مرحوم کے ایصالِ ثواب کے لیے کیلگری کی پاکستانی اور کشمیری کمیونٹی کی جانب سے قرآن خوانی کا اہتمام کیا گیا ہے۔ تمام کمیونٹی ممبران سے شرکت کی گزارش ہے۔

PCCA Alberta was honored to co-host a meaningful Community Engagement Session alongside The Canadian Zalmi Society and the Calgary Police Service, focused on supporting the Pakistani community and strengthening connections with CPS through dialogue, trust, and collaboration.

We extend our sincere thanks to Constable Randy Randhawa of the Calgary Police Service for sharing valuable insights on youth engagement, safety, crime prevention, and the importance of guiding children toward positive and healthy activities. His openness and commitment to our community were truly appreciated.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to Humaira Falak, Co-Chair of the Calgary Police South Asian Advisory Board, for her excellent leadership and coordination, and to Jay Choudhary, Diversity Resource Volunteer with CPS, for continuously building bridges between law enforcement and diverse communities.

We also thank The Canadian Zalmi Society and Nasser Khan for their strong collaboration and shared commitment to empowering the community and fostering positive relationships with CPS.
A warm thank you to all community members who attended and participated—your engagement, questions, and presence made this session a success. This was the first program of its kind, and we are pleased to share that a second session will be held to continue this important work.

پی سی سی اے البرٹا کو کینیڈین زلمی سوسائٹی اور کیلگری پولیس سروس کے تعاون سے ایک بامعنی کمیونٹی انگیجمنٹ سیشن کی مشترکہ میزبانی کرنے کا اعزاز حاصل ہوا، جس میں پاکستانی کمیونٹی کی حمایت اور بات چیت، اعتماد اور تعاون کے ذریعے کیلگری پولیس سروس کے ساتھ روابط کو مضبوط بنانے پر توجہ مرکوز کی گئی۔

ہم کیلگری پولیس سروس کے کانسٹیبل رینڈی رندھاوا کا تہہ دل سے شکریہ ادا کرتے ہیں جنہوں نے نوجوانوں کی مصروفیت، حفاظت، جرائم کی روک تھام، اور مثبت اور صحت مند سرگرمیوں کی طرف بچوں کی رہنمائی کی اہمیت کے بارے میں قیمتی رائے شیئر کیں۔ ہماری کمیونٹی کے ساتھ اس کی کشادگی اور وابستگی کو واقعی سراہا گیا۔

PCCA Alberta had an honour to represent Pakistani Culture at Calgary Police Services’ Diversity Fair on Wednesday April 22, 2026 at Police Headquarters.

It was a great platform our activists, cultural diversity of Pakistan.

We sincerely thank the organizers and all volunteers for their time and effort in helping showcasing Pakistan and Pakistani cultural heritage with diverse communities.

PCCA Alberta Pakistan Day Celebrations 2026.

It was an event filled with joy and excitement for all the good reasons. From young kids to the elderly, everyone enjoyed every moment of the event.

As it was a family event, a large number of women and children attended.

Participants highlighted the importance of this historical day, which led to Pakistan's independence in just 7 years.

Our local talent had a great opportunity to showcase their skills, while children delivered special messages.

A delicious dinner was served to the guests at the end of the event.

We are thankful to our mainstream and social personalities who stayed until the very end of the event.
