On June 28, 2026, the Pakistani Canadian Cultural Association of Alberta (PCCA Alberta) had the privilege of participating in Seva (selfless service) at the Dashmesh Culture Centre (DCC) Gurdwara in Calgary. Members of the Pakistani community joined this meaningful initiative to promote the values of service, mutual respect, friendship, and unity.
To commemorate the 555th Birth Anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak Sahib, the State Bank of Pakistan issued special commemorative coins. These coins were presented to members of the Gurdwara Committee and several Sikh community leaders in recognition of their outstanding service and dedication to the community.
The gathering also provided a meaningful opportunity to strengthen the historic cultural and people-to-people ties between the people of Punjab on both sides of the border. We were also delighted to be joined by representatives of the Nepali community, whose participation further reinforced the spirit of multiculturalism, inclusivity, and togetherness.
Our delegation was warmly welcomed by Harpal Singh Grewal, President of Dashmesh Culture Centre, and Ranbir Singh Parmar, Chairman of the Board. The PCCA Alberta delegation, led by President Asif Anwar, highlighted the importance of community service, interfaith harmony, and strengthening relationships among Canada’s diverse communities.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the entire Dashmesh Culture Centre family for their warm hospitality and friendship. We look forward to making this shared Seva an annual tradition and to continuing our journey of building a stronger, more united, and more compassionate Canada.
Together in Canada. 🇨🇦❤️
