Jeepers, creepers! Halloween is sneaking up quickly, and so is Capitol Hill’s legendary SPOOKTACULAR DANCE PARTY. Roving puppets, mad scientists, sweet treats, spine-tingling tunes, crafts for the goblins, and a haunted house hosted by our Scout neighbours…Grab some grub from Fry Guy, a drink at our bar and cut a rug on our dance floor. It’s the perfect start to the Halloween countdown!

ICYMI! Our AGM and Radical Reptile Showdown is coming up this Friday at 5 pm. Our board is in need of an awesome treasurer to support the community centre. If your skill set lends to this opportunity please consider so we can keep our organization healthy and offering a continued range of programs and services to Capitol Hill. 💸💰🤑

Night creatures, have you heard? The Capitol Hill Crypt is creaking back open on Saturday, October 24. We recommended dragging your co**se over to our website now to ensure your spectral spot is secured. As horrifying as it might sound, we only have so many tombs to go around and space is LIMITED.

ICYMI! Our Stronger Together FREE and FUN martial arts takes place today at 6 pm. Everyone (all ages, genders, and fitness levels) are invited to come out and try this awesome and colourful program. See you there!

The reptiles are coming…toads, snakes, and scorpions. It’s must be spooky season in Capitol Hill. Friday Oct 16 is the Radical Reptile Showdown and you’re invited. Meet our surprise ghostly greeter, play creeptastic games with a chance to win petrifying prizes, eat frightfully good food from Siraj Hunani and enjoy refreshing beverages and live music in our lounge.

Two weeks until our 2026 AGM! Friday, October 16 @ 5 pm come hear what’s been going on at the centre, grab a drink from our lounge, score some AWESOME eats from Siraj Hunani and settle in for a quick and fun gathering. This is for neighbours of all ages and there will even be a kid and youth program that is super awesome and will feature top secret surprise guest. The AGM will be followed by pub night…more to come on that but let’s just say it might involve live music and snakes!

Calling all babies, toddlers, and preschoolers (and their caregivers, of course). Capitol Hill will host guest teacher Merve on October 4 for Music Magic Classes. This is a free program open to all community members but spots are limited and registration must be completed through our website. We can’t wait to see li’l Cap Hillers jammin’ and groovin’ to a beat!
