g in the suburbs? The idea for Arbour Lake was conceived by David Poppitt, who has been with Arbour Lake´s main developer, Melcor Developments Ltd., for twenty-five years. After visiting several upscale, popular lake communities in Southern California, he envisioned a lake community among the grassy hills and ravines of North West Calgary. The first showhomes in Arbour Lake appeared in 1991 and by 1993, the lake was filled and officially opened for recreation. We´ve come a long way from that Atco trailer in the parking lot!

Our campers stepped back in time at Heritage Park, cooled off with a splash-filled day at Riley Park, and ended off with a cozy dance party on Pajama Day!🎢🌊😴

Week 6, Barnyard Bash, was a whole lot of farmyard fun at Arbour Lake Adventure Camp! 🐴☀️

Our campers got up close with some adorable farm animals at Butterfield Acres, hit the water for some paddleboarding around the lake, and wrapped up the week with rides, animals, and plenty of fun at Calgary Farmyard! 🌾🐐

Week 5, Splash and Dash was another amazing week at Arbour Lake Adventure Camp! 🏖️☀️

Our campers soaked up the summer fun at Riley Wading Pool and enjoyed an action-packed day of rides, games, and excitement at Calaway Park! 🎢🎠✨⛲️

Week 4, Swim into Science was truly a spectacular time for our Arbour Lake Adventure Camp! 🌊☀️

This week, our happy campers learned all about dinosaurs at Telus Spark, tested their fishing skills with our Fishing Derby, and had a splashin’ fun time riding waves at the Southland Leisure Centre Pool. 🦖🎣🐬🏖️✨

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our annual Summer BBQ Fundraiser! ❤️😎

This year was especially meaningful as we celebrated 35 years of serving our community. It was an incredible day filled with delicious food, live music, horse wagon rides, bouncy castles, family activities, and so many smiling faces.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who attended. Your generosity and support made this event possible. 😊☀️

Week 1 of Arbour Lake Adventure Camps is in the books! 🌊☀️

What a way to kick off the summer! 🎉 We spent the week striking it big at Splitzville with bowling, mini golf, and arcade games, celebrating Canada Day at the lake, cooling off with a swim, and putting our creativity to the test in our annual sandcastle competition. ⛳️🏖️🍁🎮🎳

A huge congratulations to our sandcastle champions, “Villager City in France” , with an amazing build! 🏆And a shoutout to “Sandville” for an awesome creation and great teamwork.👏🏻

Thanks to all our campers for bringing the energy, laughter, and adventure every single day. We can’t wait to see what Week 2 has in store! ❤️☀️🕶️

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Canada Day event. From Hungerball and lawn games to temporary tattoos, prizes, and free ice cream sundaes, it was an afternoon filled with fun, laughter, and great memories.❤️
