We’re getting ready for the 3rd Annual Métis Stampede Festival on July 4, 2026, and we need your help to make it an amazing day!
📍 The Confluence Historic Site & Parkland – Calgary, AB
🕛 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
🎟️ Free & Family-Friendly
We’re looking for volunteers to help with:
🏕️ Tent setup and takedown
🩹 First Aid & Lost Child Tent support
🎯 Voyageur games and kids’ field games
🧭 Guest guides to help direct people around the site
📋 A Volunteer Coordinator for the day

The Otipemisiwak Métis Government is happy to announce that Parks Canada and the Otipemisiwak Métis Government have renewed their partnership to continue offering a free, custom Park Pass to Citizens of the Otipemisiwak Métis Government.

President Andrea Sandmaier said, “Our government has worked hard to ensure this agreement was renewed. I am proud of the results we have secured for our Citizens through this partnership with Parks Canada. This is a clear example of what we can achieve when we assert our rights and work collaboratively with federal partners. This partnership means more Métis families can spend time in these spaces, experiencing them together, and reconnecting with each other and our Métis history.”

Hey all. This is the Region 3 Michif Coordinator here. I've seen quite a few comments where people are a bit confused with the upcoming government transition. I decided to make a quick video showing what will happen to Region 3 and took a few pictures of the new districts. My hope is this will help citizens of Region 3 know what district they will be in and who is running for District Captian and Citizen Rep in their area.

So below you'll see a short video that just shows Region 3 as it is now and turning into the new districts. We are turning into the 'Battle River Territory' which is made up of 6 districts. Each district will have their own District Captain and Citizen Rep. Below I list who is running in each district and where to vote. Each voting location is where you would cast your vote for the MNA president as well. Joesph Pimlott and Andrea Sandmaier are running for MNA Provincial President.
