There’s nothing sweeter than a Mid-Sun Summer Day Camp!

Weeks 6 and 7 brought some of our most deliciously chaotic challenges yet! Our leaders were decorated from head to toe with every ice cream topping imaginable, sprinkles, syrup, whipped cream, and everything in between. Talk about a sweet way to spend the day!

The following week, we decided to take a slightly healthier approach… and turned our lovely leaders into the ultimate balanced breakfast! From cereal to pancakes and everything in between, our campers had a chance to get creative and serve up their perfect breakfast masterpiece.

Our Summer Day Camps are officially sold out, but it’s not too late to join the fun! We are still accepting names for our waitlists.

We had another successful year at our Community Cleanup! We'd like to thank the following partners:

❤ City of Calgary and it's staff for providing their waste collection services to our residents and conducting countless trips to the landfill
❤ SCRI electronic recycling for their time onsite and helpfulness
❤ Alcop recycling for arriving last minute providing residents with a way to dispose of metal
❤ Centennial High School for allowing us use of their parking lot again this year
❤ A gentleman from Grizzly Paw Brewery for dropping off some refreshing and cold soda pops
❤ To all our community volunteers - your time, cheerfulness, and helpful hands made this event go very smoothly! Thank you for spending the day with us and helping our residents unload their unwanted items.

IMAGINATION!!!

This time, our campers let their imaginations take the lead as they transformed our leaders into larger-than-life works of art.

Armed with shaving cream, paint, and glitter, they brought their wildest ideas to life, turning each leader into a colourful masterpiece.

From sparkling creations to wonderfully messy designs, every splash, swirl, and shimmer showcased the incredible creativity of our campers.

Tomorrow is the day! We're partnering with The City of Calgary and Shanked Computer Recycling to keep our neighborhood clean.

City of Calgary accepted items: calgary.ca/cleanups

Shanked Computer Recycling accepted items: computers, laptops, printers, TVs, monitors, microwaves, popcorn makers, hair dryers, telephones, power tools, vacuums, electric toys and music keyboards, etc. They will also accept batteries (lead acid, lithium, and alkaline).

Event organizers may stop accepting vehicles before the event ends if capacity is reached. For example, vehicles may stop joining the line at 1 p.m. to ensure everyone already waiting can unload before the 2 p.m. closing time.

Retro Week!!!

This week at Mid-Sun, we are celebrating Retro Week, a time many of our campers would call the early 2010's.

Fortunately for all the parents, we have set the record straight, and our Retro Week is focusing on the 70's, 80's & 90's.

This week's challenge: we dressed up our leaders in the most fashionable way possible. Trying our best to bring retro fashion back in action!

Nothing says team spirit like wearing your team's colours loud and proud!

This week's leader challenge had campers transforming their leaders into their team's mascot, using paint! Each camper raced through an obstacle course before taking their turn adding a splash of colour to their leader.

There was paint flying everywhere, plenty of laughter, and we're pretty sure a few leaders are still finding paint in their ears!

Saddle up, partners! Mid-Sun Summer Day Camps are riding full steam ahead, and Weeks 1 & 2 have been one wild adventure!

From dusty trails to messy leader challenges, our camp crew has been making memories, sharing laughs, and embracing every moment of the great outdoors. Things may have gotten a little muddy along the way, but that's all part of the adventure!

Don't let this wagon leave without you! Round up your little explorers and join us for a summer filled with campfire-worthy stories, smiling faces, and memories that'll last long after the dust has settled.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our June Jamboree!

We couldn’t have asked for a better turnout, and it was amazing to see our community come together for a day full of fun, laughter, and memories.

A very special thank you goes out to our incredible community partners, local vendors, and, of course, the City of Calgary and Ward 14 for helping us secure the WCEF Grant! Thanks to this support, we were able to provide over 250 complimentary hot dog combos to our community!

We are so grateful to everyone who helped make this event possible. Here’s to creating even more wonderful memories together!
