🔥 Thank You, 1st Uxbridge Scout Group! 🔥

A big thank you to the Venturers of 1st Uxbridge Scout Group, all the way from just outside Toronto, for hosting a campfire dinner with some of our senior scouting youth and Scouters during their Southern Alberta visit this summer on Saturday, July 4!

Great stories, new friendships, and a fantastic night around the fire, this is what Scouting is all about. Thanks for adding us to your journey.

This summer we're hosting 𝟰 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸 events across the city, and we can't pull them off without amazing volunteers like you.

The 193 Edgemont Venturers and Rovers are selling yummy freeze dried candy to raise funds for their upcoming adventure to Kandersteg, France and Germany.

Options include skittles, nerds, meteors, jello, stroopwaffles and marshmallows. They come in small and medium sized bags and prices range from $3-10. We have just what you need for summer fun!

We are very sad to say that Cuborama has been cancelled.

The camping area is under 5 inches of water, and will not be dry enough for the event.

The organizing committee is discussing to see if it can be held this fall.

Calling all new Scouters (or Scouters looking for a refresher)!!

Join the Chinook Growth Team for an in-person Scouting Essentials!!

Discover the Canadian Path, which provides the tools to run excellent weekly meetings, camps, and more. Uncover engaging routines that help you and your youth create exceptional programming. Scouting Essentials is designed to support Scouters in their Program Delivery and Section Scouter roles by utilizing the Scouting Method to introduce important Canadian Path concepts and connect theory with practice.

This 2 hour in-person session, will cover topics including:
- Navigating Online Resources
-Creating a Code of Conduct
- How to Set-Up for Success (Scouters and youth)
-Structuring Meetings
-Making Planning Fun
-The Patrol System
-Running a Youth-Led Program and More!

With two dates and locations to choose from, we hope you’ll join us for a fun evening of learning and sharing!

Session 1: June 3rd 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the McKenzie Towne Hall – 40 McKenzie Towne Blvd SE

Session 2: June 9th 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church – 710 – 14 Avenue SW
