Legacy neighbours, help us hand out treats to every kid this Halloween! We need you signed up by the first week of September, so don't wait!
The Calgary Legacy Community Association is teaming up with Nicky Taylor, who's organizing an accessible Halloween with Treat Accessibly, to bring our community together around the big pond. The idea is simple: as many people as possible set up a treat table along the large pond path, sort of like a trunk-or-treat, so every child can go from table to table in one welcoming spot. This makes trick-or-treating reachable for every kid, including those with disabilities or health barriers who often can't make it up to a front door.
You do not need to live by the pond to join! Anyone from anywhere in Legacy, or even Walden, is welcome to sign up and set up a table. The more tables we have around the path, the better the night will be.
How to join:
Click our sign-up link: treataccessibly.com/join-your-street
Enter these two fields exactly as written, so you're added to our group:
๐งก Street Captain: Nicky Taylor
๐ Street: Legacy Circle / Pond
Fill in your details and tap "Add My Home."
Once you sign up, you'll get a short video and a toolkit from Treat Accessibly explaining the foundation and how it all works, plus easy tips for setting up your table.
Please use only the sign-up link above so we can keep everyone together in one group around the pond.
Let's make sure no child in Legacy gets left out on Halloween night.
