Join to help others at MOSAIC Volunteers Association.
This is a key Youth Volunteer Organization providing support to all charities or not for profit organizations in Calgary.
If you need Volunteers scan the QR code and post your request. You must meet the criteria which basically is that you must be doing something for the community either for Not for profit or charity.

All Sports Alberta Foundation is an Alberta based not for profit Organization bringing Sports to youth at an affordable cost and sometime free and totally subsidized for those who need that.
Nishail Shaikh is the director of the youth club who provided information about what All Sports Foundation is doing and what it stands for.
She herself is a role model for youth, providing leadership within All Sports Alberta Foundation and outside to promote good causes.
Not only that she was present during this session of MD International’s annual health expo, she provided much needed fun activities for young and old alike.
We are so proud of this Organization and what it has done during its short period of its existence

MD-International organised its Annual Health Expo, where numerous health related services presented their information to public

Canada‘s pride, Dr Sutherland flanked by our own top scientist Dr Dr. Naweed Syed, delivered the keynote speech and was extremely well attended and received. He was able to answer some really tricky questions regarding artificial intelligence role in medical field in the future.
Events like this carrying health information to general public are extremely important. MDI is fortunate to be able to do this on a yearly basis.
We are thankful to many other medical organization that were present, including the Association of Pakistan descent Physicians of North America. 
Alberta health services pain clinic was represented by Dr. Yasmin Majeed and her team.
A strong team from Access Mental Health was present to give information about children’s mental health and how to access services. 
Other information booths included Mental Health, Seniors Health, Women’s Health children with special needs.
Alberta based All Sports Alberta Foundation provided some fun activities for children and information about their “children with special needs” initiative.
MOSAIC Volunteers Association, provided volunteers for logistical support.
Takmil - Teach A Kid Make Individual Life information booth about education for underprivileged children was a special attraction.

Dr Arsalan Syed talking about APPNA, the largest organization of Physicians of Pakistani Descent. It was great to see APPNA in MD-International’s Annual Health Expo event.
Dr Sarah Makhdoom, president of APPNA Alberta chapter was present and talked about all the medical organizations working together and supporting each other for medical humanitarian causes.

It is a great honour to recognize a remarkable Canadian whose vision, ingenuity, and dedication have helped redefine the possibilities of modern medicine—Dr. Garnette Sutherland of the University of Calgary. A distinguished neurosurgeon, researcher, educator, and innovator, Dr. Sutherland has devoted his career not only to treating patients, but to imagining what the future of medicine could be. His pioneering work in image-guided neurosurgery and medical robotics has placed Calgary and Canada on the world stage. He was instrumental in developing the world’s first intraoperative MRI system using a movable high-field magnet, enabling surgeons to see and respond to changes during brain surgery in real time. He subsequently led the development of neuroArm, an extraordinary MRI-compatible robotic system that brought unprecedented precision and technological sophistication to neurosurgical procedures. These achievements represent far more than technological breakthroughs—they embody a profound commitment to improving human life. His contributions have earned him prestigious national and international recognition, including the Manning Award of Distinction, NASA’s Exceptional Technology Achievement Medal, induction into the Space Technology Hall of Fame, the CIHR-CMAJ Top Achievements in Health Research Award, and appointment to both the Order of Canada and the Alberta Order of Excellence. Yet perhaps his greatest legacy lies in the lives he has touched, the patients he has helped, the students and colleagues he has inspired, and the generations of innovators who will build upon his work. Dr. Sutherland represents the very best of Canadian medicine: excellence guided by compassion, science driven by imagination, and innovation placed in the service of humanity. We are profoundly fortunate to have such a visionary among us, and proud that his extraordinary journey has been rooted here in Calgary and at the University of Calgary.
