This Christmas, we find ourselves reflecting on the journey we’ve shared with so many wonderful people. Together, we’ve been able to offer support, care, and a little bit of hope to those who needed it most. It’s been a year of highs and lows, but through it all, we’ve seen the incredible impact of kindness and community.

But the work doesn’t stop here. There are still so many people out there who need help and that’s where we come in, together. Every donation, every hour volunteered, and every word of encouragement helps us continue this mission. It’s not just about giving gifts it’s about giving hope, dignity, and the chance for a brighter tomorrow.

We want to thank each and every person who has supported us this year, whether through their time, donations, or simply spreading the word. Your support means everything to us and to the people we serve. This Christmas, let’s continue to come together and make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.

Wishing you all a holiday season filled with love, peace, and joy. Together, we’re building a brighter future for all. Merry Christmas! 🎄✨

❄️ Supporting Calgary's Vulnerable in Minus Temperatures Weather ❄️

Today, the ABC Foundation - Advocacy for Better Communities team braved the cold to support vulnerable individuals in Calgary’s downtown. Together, we handed out nearly 125 large care bags filled with essentials, including:

🍪 Snacks: Cookies, crackers, granola bars, chocolate, and more!
☕ Beverages: Juice and hot chocolate
🧤 Clothing: Gloves and socks
🧴 Hygiene items: Lip balm and wet wipe packets
🍜 Soup: Noodles, with hot water provided on site
😁 Hand and Feet warmers
…and so much more!

Special Thanks to Our Incredible Donors and Team:
💙 Major Sponsor: A-Canadian Autobody
💙 Directors: Angeline Lal, Neil Lal, and Vidya Wati for their generous monetary contributions
💙 Staff: Bilal Sikander and Rashad Bayram for their monetary contributions and all of the ABC Staff for their dedication, hard work, and going out to hand deliver the care bags (Maureen, Raj, Ambreen, Bilal, Rashad, Angeline & Ariba)
💙 Everyone who donated funds and items through Ambreen Sheikh to support this initiative

Your generosity allowed us to provide food, clothing and children's games for individuals and families in need, making this day extra special for so many.

As the winter and holiday season sets in, we are reminded of how fortunate we are—and how crucial it is to extend support to those facing hardship. The holidays are a time for gratitude, love, and giving back. Let’s keep in mind those who may not be as fortunate as we head out and begin our festivities.

Thank You also to:
🙏 The Mustard Seed for helping us distribute care bags inside their warming center so that we were able to reach those in need who may have been warming up from the cold and were unable to meet with us outside
🙏 Calgary Drop-In Centre for providing hot water containers, enabling people to make soup while they endure the cold. Special thank you to Chris and Patrick for organizing the hot water option for us.

It’s through partnerships like these that we can create direct, meaningful impacts—especially on frigid days like today.

From all of us at the ABC Foundation, thank you for helping us bring warmth, kindness, and hope to our community. Together, we can make a difference. ❤️
