Great things happen when people from all walks of life come together to help their community. 💙

This summer, Yvonne joined our small team through the Canada Summer Jobs program, coming to us from a background in the biological sciences. From day one, she treated everyone who walked through our doors with kindness and care. After preparing for her client-facing role, she sat alongside our clients and helped them navigate the complex systems of social assistance.

Front-line social service is a team effort, and the values that matter most—compassion, patience, and a real commitment to the people we serve—aren't limited to any one field.

Yvonne, thank you for everything. We wish you all the best as you explore what's next! 🌱

Just a friendly reminder that our Ogden office will be closed from Friday, July 31 through Friday, August 7.

If you need clothing, food support, or any of our other services, we encourage you to visit us before the closure.

Our Ogden office will reopen on Monday, August 10.

Our Forest Lawn and Ranchlands offices will reopen on Tuesday, August 4 following the Heritage Day long weekend.

Meet Beth, one of our Stabilization Advocates. She works across our Calgary offices part-time and is based out of our Siksika office, supporting the Talking Taxes Program.

When we asked what she's most excited about, Beth told us: "I'm most excited about building meaningful relationships within the community and supporting individuals and families as they work toward their goals. I look forward to learning from the people I meet, collaborating with my team, and helping connect people with the resources and support they need to thrive."

Outside of work, she loves beadwork and creating pieces that let her express her creativity, and she treasures time outdoors with her daughter, whether that's going for walks or just enjoying nature together.

A heads-up on our Ogden office hours.

We're closed tomorrow, Friday, June 26 while we reorganize our clothing room to better serve you.

We'll also be closed next week for Canada Day on Wednesday, July 1 and again on Friday, July 3 while we give our office a good clean. So next week, our Ogden office will be open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday only.

Thanks for your patience while we tidy up and refresh the space — we'll be ready to welcome you back better than ever.
