The Alberta Sports and Recreation Association for the Blind (ASRAB) supports Albertans who are blind or visually impaired to live physically active lives and participate in competitive sports programs. What we do:

- provide development and competitive sport programs, and

- support and encourage the blind or visually impaired to actively participate in a broad spectrum of sport and recreation programs.

ASRAB congratulates Neveah Milman on her competition at the School Sports Alberta – Track and Field Provincial Championships, held on Friday June 5th’, at Foothills Athletic Park in Calgary.

Neveah came 1st with a personal best in the shot-put & she came 2nd in the 100M Sprint. She is excited to attend ASRAB's Track and Field Program on June 12 and 19.

ASRAB would like to offer a huge shoutout to Alberta’s goalball athletes Meghan Mahon, Cassandra Ruttle, and Blair Nesbitt, along with Head Coach Trent Farebrother, as they represent Canada at the 2026 IBSA Goalball World Championships in Hangzhou, China from June 10–15! We wish you the very best throughout the competition. Go Canada!

Alberta Sports and Recreation Association for the Blind is hosting an online 50/50 cash raffle to raise funds for their goalball athletes! We are a non-profit sports organization that supports visually impaired athletes to enhance their quality of life through an active lifestyle.

Funds raised from this raffle will be used to help our goalball athletes learn and develop their skills and to cover the travel costs of goalball tournaments.

We would like to offer a huge congratulations to Canada winning Gold in Goalball at the Malmo Lady Intercup 2026 over the weekend.

ASRAB had 2 athletes on the team: Meghan Mahone and Cassandra Ruttle, as well as Coach Trent Farebrother! Congrats to all!

ASRAB would like to give a huge shoutout to our Junior Provincial Goalball teams who traveled to Brantford, Ontario this past weekend (April 24–26) to compete at the Junior Nationals!

Both teams came home with medals - our Division 1 team taking gold, and our Division 2 team winning silver!

Congratulations to all the athletes and coaches on an incredible weekend. Go Alberta!
