Our Story
Inspired to take good people from homelessness or in bad situations to their own safe secure home, Hearts For Homes first opened it's doors in 2008. Since then we have been able to make owning a home a reality to 42 people and or families with a variety of barriers. Some on AISH, some with disabilities, on a tight pension or just in a bad situatuion and out of options. While building luxury homes David Somers and his team were able to create or renovate the needed properties in between projects. Now nine years later the philosophy has grown and many more people have stepped up to take part in making the community a better place to be. As a cornerstone to four of Calgary's most important communities, our newly opened storefront now allows us to provide quality goods at very reasonable prices that won't break their banks. We are also planning on opening a community resource learning center in the near future.
