We were so honored to support the Department Head Dr. Besigye Innocent and so many graduates, not to mention building a home for the residents in their community rotation in Tororo. Our director is still selling the book at Family Medicine Forum  to benefit GFF! We are giving the book away to international partners and all family doctors can purchase for only $20, all proceeds paying for Family Medicine residency tuition at Makerere University in Uganda!

It’s really fascinating how the lessons we’ve learned working overseas for over a decade now, are finally getting traction here in Canada.  Nepal’s Patan Academy of Health Sciences has had a social accountability mandate since inception. We just built the house for rural training in Uganda because they know people retain where they train.

A shortage of physicians has prompted provinces to establish new medical schools at the University of Prince Edward Island, Simon Fraser University and Toronto Metropolitan University in the next few years.
