Some milestones are measured in numbers. Others are felt in the heart of a community — this is one of them.

With immense pride, gratitude, and emotion, we share that, earlier this week - on the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya, our JSOC community has successfully purchased land for a future Jain temple in Calgary. What once lived as a shared dream in conversations and hopes has now found a place on the ground — a sacred beginning.

This land is more than just a site. It is the foundation for a space where our values will live, where our children will learn, where future generations of Jains in Calgary will gather, connect, and carry forward our faith and culture. It is a promise to those who came before us, and a gift to those yet to come.

This milestone has been shaped by countless hands and hearts — the planners, the volunteers, the quiet contributors who gave their time, energy, and belief without seeking recognition. Your dedication has made the impossible feel possible.

To our donor families — your generosity is the soul of this achievement. You didn’t just contribute funds; you gave life to a vision. Because of you, this will never remain “just a dream.”

Today, we celebrate with full hearts — proud of how far we’ve come, and humbled by the journey ahead. The foundation has been laid. Now, together, we begin building something that will stand for generations.
