Did you know that 1 in 5 Canadians experience mental health or substance abuse challenges every year? These issues touch not just individuals, but families and entire communities, impacting lives and even increasing emergency room wait times.
At the NAM Centre for Holistic Recovery, they understand that trust is essential to treatment. People need support at their greatest time of need, sometimes at 2 am, not just during business hours. While they currently operate from 9 am to 5 pm, five days a week, they know they could help even more by being there 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The need is urgent and the impact is real. A 2020 study showed that addictions cost taxpayers almost $30,000 per person. But there is hope, in 2025, NAM treated 360 people, and 216 were still sober after one year. Their holistic approach works at a cost of just $7,000 per person for successful treatment.
