IWD | International Women's Day is a global celebration of the achievements of women and encourages everyone to recognize the unique perspectives and contributions of women from all walks of life. On this day, we would like to feature a very special woman who happens to reside at Silvera’s Aspen community. Her name is Doreen Kamis-Christoffersen, and her story is unique. She is a veteran who was only 16 when she began nursing school during World War II. To learn more about her experience during the war and her journey to Canada, visit our blog- https://www.silvera.ca/blog/silvera-veterans-doreen-kamis-christoffersen/
