We're incredibly grateful for our partnership with Europa Eyewear Canada. It's with great joy that we announce the delivery of 25 additional pairs of glasses, bringing our total contribution to the Drop Inn Centre to 75 pairs. A heartfelt thank you to Renae Kapteyn, Team Leader - Urban Response at the Calgary Drop In Centre, and Aly Bandali, Board Chair and CEO of iGift Sight, for their unwavering support and collaboration.

Our approach is unique, focusing on empowering the communities we serve. 🌟 New Year Goal for iGift Sight 🌟

Our 2024 mission at iGift Sight is clear: To continue providing timely access to quality, in-person optometric care for all Indigenous people in southern Alberta, especially those residing in rural and remote areas. Together, we'll bridge the gap in eye care and bring clearer vision to every corner of our community.

🎁👓 "I gift sight" 🌟👁️

Here's an update on our recent efforts at the Drop-In Center!

Clinic 1, we've helped 13 patients, providing 12 pairs of glasses.
Clinic 2 saw 18 patients, resulting in 16 pairs.
Clinic 3 assisted 13 patients with 12 pairs of glasses.

An incredible 91% of those in need received the gift of sight! 🙌🌟

As a result, 41 people will welcome this Christmas season and begin 2024 with clear vision and a brighter future.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this wonderful initiative! 🎄❤️👏

It's the season to give, and with our partner the Calgary Drop-In Centre, we are giving the gift of Sight to people without homes.

December 7th is our next vision clinic for their clients, who are our fellow citizens. This Christmas, they will be able to enjoy the Christmas lights and joy of the season. It's a human right to be able to see when the darkness is avoidable.

November 28 is Giving Tuesday, often called the start of the giving season. It’s a worldwide day of recognition that everyone has something to give, and every act of generosity counts.

Vision loss can be treated or even prevented in 75 per cent of cases. Recently, the Conference Board of Canada reveals that treating vision loss is projected to save $1.6 billion in direct health care costs in 2020, a number that’s expected to reach $4 billion by 2040.
