Last Saturday, the vision for Treasures of Asia and Canada finally came to life! ✨

Six Calgary performing groups, including professionals and internationally-renowned artists, came to Calgary's Bella Concert Hall to showcase their talents while promoting pan-Asian culture.

Meet another one of our dance groups for Treasures of Asia and Canada!

Jovita Patara and Parvathi Nair are dance instructors and choreographers at Kala Bhavan of Calgary, one of Calgary's original premier classical Indian dance schools. Founded by Roma Thakore, Kala Bhavan of Calgary teaches Bharatanatyam, folk, and fusion styles of dance to students of all ages. Kala Bhavan of Calgary has created theatrical productions since 2011, blending story, script, music, dance, costumes and lighting into dance dramas to sold out audiences at Wright Theatre, Bella Concert Hall and The Grand.

The GCB Band, a Chinese fusion rock band based in Calgary, Canada. Their music blends rich Eastern melodies with the power of modern rock, combining traditional imagery, ethnic colors, and Western musical structure to create a sound that is uniquely expressive and cinematic. The GCB moves seamlessly between softness and intensity, tradition, and modernity, shaping a musical voice entirely their own.
