The Field Law Community Fund Program supports local ideas and initiatives across Alberta and the Northwest Territories. Ability Workshop has submitted a request for funding to support schools in Calgary that have programs for students with disabilities. The project would cover the costs of Ability Workshop providing unique, adapted equipment to these schools for their students. Winners of the funding are chosen through a process of public voting and input from Community Market Judging Panels. We are thrilled to be hosting our first OPEN HOUSE!

The Ability Workshop Society is a totally volunteer run charitable organization committed to designing, adapting and building innovative solutions that promote independent living, recreation and self sufficiency for people of all ages living with a disability. Our volunteers consist of people with skills in electronics, engineering, woodworking, welding, handywork, education, occupational therapy, IT, and 3D printing etc. who generously provide their time and expertise to create devices and equipment.

We have a workshop in Inglewood. Last year we received around 130 projects. There is no cost for labour, only for materials if required. Each one makes a difference to those living with a disability.

Come and meet our volunteers, tour our workshop and check out some of our recent projects.

We look forward to seeing you between 1 and 4pm on either Friday, June 20th or Saturday, June 21st.
