Optimist Club of Calgary Bringing out the best in youth, our community, and ourselves since 1938 The Club was chartered with Optimist International in May of 1938.

We are one of 64 Optimist Clubs in a District that encompasses: Alberta, Montana, Saskatchewan and Northern Wyoming. Each Optimist Club operates independently of each other. We choose our own activities, elect our own Officers and raise our own funds.

Get ready, Calgary! On Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025, the spotlight will shine bright as we celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Optimist Club of Calgary Festive Showcase at the iconic Jubilee Auditorium.

Hosted by the Heebee-jeebees, the performing groups will include the 7-Time Global Award Winning Calgary Stampede Showband, The Young Canadians, the Stetson Show Band, the Calgary Round-Up Band, and several other performing groups. Let’s make this silver anniversary sparkle!
