We’re aware of the recent negative activities taking place at the Community Pump Track and understand the concerns these incidents may raise among community members.

The Pump Track was created to bring our community together and provide a welcoming space for children, families, and biking enthusiasts of all ages to enjoy the sport, stay active, and connect with one another.

Activities that compromise the safety, enjoyment, or accessibility of this space will not be tolerated. The MLCA has been working closely with the Calgary Police Service, the City of Calgary, and community members to address these concerns and help ensure the Pump Track remains a safe and enjoyable space for everyone.

But, we all have a role to play in keeping our community spaces welcoming and safe. We encourage everyone to treat the facility and fellow community members with respect as we work together toward a positive solution.
Thank you to everyone who cares about this space and is helping us preserve it as a place where our community can come together!

Meet Carolyn Badger!

Carolyn is a Level 1 Certified Iyengar Yoga Instructor who has been practicing since 2007. She is known for clear instruction and an emphasis on safe alignment, and creates a welcoming environment for students of all abilities through mindful sequencing and prop-assisted postures.

Carolyn helps participants discover accessible, painless, and functional movement they can carry into everyday life, with progressive posture work focused on refined anatomical alignment, deep body awareness, and intelligent prop mechanics.

Join Carolyn on Fridays over the lunch hour for a revitalizing 75-minute practice designed to reset your body and mind for the weekend.

Next Wednesday, October 7 from 7:00-8.30p.m., the Calgary International Folk Dancers Club will be performing and teaching a brief class at the Marda Loop Community Association Lower Hall, and sharing more information about the benefits of folk dancing! 
 
All adults and seniors are welcome to join for free, and can simple just drop in! We hope to see you there!

Heads up, ML! Starting next Monday, October 5, there will be construction scheduled with roadway, sidewalk and mobility improvements occurring along 26 Avenue S.W.

Get ready for a spooky Halloween movie night featuring a Beetlejuice (1988) and Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice (2024) double header.

Dress in your PJ’s or your comfiest clothes, bring your blanket, and settle in with your snacks and your friends!
Doors open at 7 and the show starts at 7:15
This is a supervised event for youth aged are 9-17.

Parents are welcome with a ticket. Unaccompanied minors will need parental waiver form signed.

Your ticket includes:
🎬 Two movies
🍕 One slice of pizza (pepperoni or cheese)*
🍿 One bag of chips
🥤 One drink
🍦 One ice cream*
🍕 Additional pizza slices available for $2 each, while supplies last

*Gluten-free pizza and dairy-free ice cream options available upon request.
