We are a group of students at University of Calgary advocating for the Sustainable Development Goals.

The Sustainable Development Goals Alliance (SDGA) is a student-run organization based at the University of Calgary that is working to advance student and community engagement with the Sustainable Development Goals. In partnership with the Humanitarian Alliance at U of C and CCGHR - Canadian Coalition for Global Health Research UCalgary chapter.

On this International Youth Day, join an exclusive youth consultation hosted by the NGO-UNESCO Liaison Committee Youth Working Group, SDG Academy, SDSN Youth, and the SDG 4 Youth & Student Network.

This interactive consultation will give young people (ages 19–35) the opportunity to share their experiences, ideas, and priorities for UNESCO’s Post-2030 Youth Education & Learning Agenda.

Come ready to participate in small-group discussions and help ensure youth voices are at the center of education beyond 2030.

Another one of our speakers, Nidhi, will be discussing her work on The Aquativity Project.

Nidhi Kotikalapudi is the founder of The Aquativity Project (TAP), a South Asian sustainable fashion initiative that transforms waste textiles into culturally inspired garments while challenging fast fashion and beauty norms.

In just two years, TAP has grown to over 30 volunteers and received support from Ocean Wise programs. Nidhi is also pursuing a Master’s in Neuroscience at the University of Calgary, hosts the podcast Many Different Birds, and serves on the Together Ensemble planning committee. In her free time, she enjoys classical and Bollywood dance.
